Husband Jeans

That was a completely unintentional blog break, but I am back and my goal is to do a lot more posts! So happy Labor Day. Here are some pictures of me...

I know these are typically referred to as "boyfriend" jeans, but I don't have a boyfriend. I have a husband. I've had one for almost 15 years so I just can't in good conscience call these boyfriend jeans.

I bought my mom bought that shirt for me when I was in the 10th grade I believe. No, I am not kidding. It's old. It's way old. That shirt is so old that when I told it to act it's age it died.

I don't know if it's a good or a bad thing that I can still wear that shirt. It means one of two things; I either had big boobs in the 10th grade or I have small boobs now. I would ask my husband, but he is mad that I stole his jeans.

Red, White, and Oz

It was unintentional for me to look like Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz, but when I was looking at these photos I realized I did bear a slight resemblance. Sure it's not a gingham dress, and my shoes aren't all sparkly and magic, but you still get the idea.

I wanted to do a post Sunday, but I didn't get to wear this on the 4th like I had planned since it rained all. day. long. We ended up spending the evening at Dave and Busters playing games and having a few drinks with friends! It was the BEST, but not exactly where I would want to wear this strappy little number.

I think these may be some of my favorite pictures! My husband is a genius when it comes to photography! He's like a photoshop wizard...Maybe he's from Oz too!

Romperific

I am very fond of this location for blog photos. You will probably be seeing it more because it's nice, it's quiet, there is a view of the city, and because I said so.

I wore this to a baby birthday party. Our friends have a sweet little one year old and he is just the sweetest, coolest kid. He loved the necklace I am wearing which my bestie Sherri got me so I know he has good taste, and he ate his cake like a boss so I know we have a lot in common. I figure a romper is fitting for a baby birthday since kids are always in rompers. They are right? Did I just make that up?

I am very excited for the 4th and the fact that it is officially Summer. One of my very best friends from high school is moving back to Tennessee from Germany in a few weeks! I'm so excited to see her and get to hang out! It's been too long! She has the cutest blog where she talks about her adventures in Germany too! You should check it out here

I hope you have a great 4th and as they say in Germany gugiphizichipenhousuer!*

*They do not say that in Germany. Babies say that at baby parties while wearing their rompers.*

Mammy

My momma came to visit me! We ate all the food and drank all the coffee and went all the places! It was wonderful! I needed a little happy in my week. She also took these pictures because she is awesome.

See my week started with a clogged drain in our bathroom which resulted in at least 3 trips to Home Depot, gross black goo in our floor, and a very defeated Little City Chic household. We finally got it unclogged, but we didn't know it until the next morning. That should have been good news, and it was, but then I realized that our mortgage company had taken out two payments. TWO PAYMENTS. That's not cool. When I called they weren't helpful, but thankfully my bank was and I got the second payment reversed. Talk about a frustrating couple of days. I could have shortened that and just said a black goo covered toilet monster came in and stole all our money, but you probably wouldn't have understood that. And you also might have been terrified.

My momma came and made things better (as mommas tend to do) and now I am happy again.

I promise I have a giveaway coming up. I also promise to not take as long to put up a new post next time. That is unless the goo covered toilet monster comes back and steals my computer, or camera, or husband...

Hat's and Music

These pics were taken last weekend. I have been meaning to blog them all week, but I am just now getting around to it because I am slow. I am also busy doing other stuff, but mostly just slow.

We took these at a random bar near Opry Mills that wasn't open yet. The outside had a very cool vibe and since my shirt was all about the music, it worked pretty well.

This was a very wet day. It's a good thing I was wearing my hat. I never wear hats. I have never liked the way they look on me, but I adore them on other people. That has always angered me because I should be able to wear a hat if I want! I actually bought another hat on this same day as an act of pure rebellion! Stupid head that is unworthy of a hat! I'll show you, and all your hair friends! I WILL wear hats, and I WILL look good in them!!!

My handsome husband however always looks good in a hat. Any hat. Men have it so easy sometimes, and they don't even know.

I hope your head looks good with a hat on it...But not just with a hat, cause that would be bad too.
