Hello Wall

We took these pictures next to a wall.

I'm having some serious writer's block right now. I swear I can think of a million things to write about during the day, but sometimes when I sit down to actually write a post I draw a huge blank. I wish I drew a huge bank instead. Then I could be rich! I don't know if it would actually work that way, but it's my imagination so I'm gonna go with it.

Do you guys daydream? I mean I do it a lot. Where would I like to visit? Where would I like to live? What if I were a Kardashian? I don't really want to be a Kardashian. I would be a terrible Kardashian in fact. I am not big on plastic surgery, and as big as my butt is, I'm not quite at the Dash level. This outfit is a little Kardashian though. A romper and tall boots... Not near enough lip or tan though.

In conclusion I would like to thank this wall. This wall made me look good. Or maybe I made this wall look good...Either way we made a pretty good team while these pics were being taken and I appreciate the effort it put in. Here's to you wall. Stand up straight! Believe in yourself. One day you might get to be a backdrop for someone much more famous than myself. Maybe a Kardashian!

LCC Gift Guide - BFF

In the spirit of the holiday season I have decided to do some random gift guides for you guys! I'm a pretty good gift giver (if I do say so myself), so I thought I would share in my gift knowledge! This "episode" is for your BFF, or any good friend that might be hard to buy for. Enjoy...

1. Matching Shirts: I know, I know...How seventh grade of you Heather, but hear me out; this is a great idea. Why? Because it's a good way to let your BFF know how much they mean to you, and it's just fun for those days you guys hang out at the pool, at an outdoor concert, or even go shopping. Face it you guys love attention and these will get you a little more together! The ones I have pictured are sold out, but the link will take you to a plethora of others on Etsy.

2. Ipsy Subscription (or Birchbox): I am obsessed with Ipsy and I know that it would make a great gift! Also if you can afford the monthly subscription ($10) it might be more cost effective than a large amount all at once.

3. Coffee: If you have a friend that is a coffee fiend this is a great choice. It may seem basic, but it's not. Go to Starbucks, or whatever coffee shop you choose and not only get them a gift card, but pick out a special blend, and a mug. Put it all together and it's thoughtful and practical.

4. Tickets: What has your BFF been dying to do? What is their favorite band? Is there an exhibit at your local museum that you know they would love? Get them a ticket, and one for yourself! Or get one for them and for their significant other if you don't really dig the event. Either way it's thoughtful and shows you pay attention to their interests!

5. Homemade: I LOVE homemade gifts! I also love the idea in the featured pic! A whole jar of lucky charms marshmallows? How cute is that?!?! I linked homemade gift ideas from Pinterest for inspo!

6. Magazine Subscription: Perhaps one of my favorite gift ideas is a magazine subscription. You can pick out a magazine you know they love, but that they buy every month and subscribe for them. Or maybe there is a magazine that you know they would love, but they never get it! Either way it's the gift that keeps on giving!

Happy Shopping ya little niblets!

Dogversations

I like to make up conversations that I would have with my dogs. They both have such big personalities and so I imagine what they would say and how our conversations would go. I decided to do a whole blog post dedicated to some of those conversations.

Oh and spoiler alert...I cut my hair off.

Me to my dogs: Why are you staring at me like that?
My dogs to me: We are judging you.
Me to my dogs: Judging me for what?
My dogs to me: For still being in your pjs...It's like 2:00.

Me: What is that?
My dogs: What is what?
Me: That thing in your mouth?
My dogs: Oh that! It's just our teeth...and cat poop.

My dogs: Pet us!
Me: I'm busy working right now!
My dogs: Pleeeeeeeeeeaaaaaasssseeeee pet us!!!!!
Me: Fine *reaches for them*
My dogs: *running away* TOO LATE! HAHAHAHA!!!!!

My dogs: Feed us.
Me: I fed you like an hour ago!
My dogs: But we are hungry again now. Feed us!
Me: No! It's like 10:00 AM!
My dogs: Food has no timetable.
Me: Fine. I'll give you a snack.
My dogs: YAAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAAYAYAAYAYAY OMG OMG!!!!! SNACK SNACK SNACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Five minutes later...

My dogs: Feed us...
Me: ...............

Teenage Dream

We took these pictures at Love Circle, a very well known "park" in Nashville where you can look down on the city. It's always seemed strange to us that it's such a high point, but from the city I never see it. It's like magic.

It's also a hideout for packs of wild teenagers...

We walked up the hill to find a group of teenagers in their most comfortable environment; a make out spot. We approached them slowly as to not spook them, but they did seem to be a bit frightened and scattered to the other side of the hill.

I wondered if we should try to feed them. I didn't see any "don't feed the teenagers" signs, but in the end I decided it was best to just try to ignore them.

Eventually one of them, presumably the pack leader, approached us slowly to ask if we had a cigarette. We politely, but a little sternly (cigarettes are bad, Mkay...) told him no and he quickly fled along with the rest of the pack.

We didn't know where they went until we heard the rattle of an old car and the squeals of the female pack members as they rolled down the hill. I think they'll be ok.

I highly recommend visiting this spot if you are ever in Nashville, but bring some McDonalds french fries because teenagers love those!

Pant Intimidation

I put these pants on to wear them out for only the second time since I bought them well over a year ago. These pants. Intimidate. Me.

I'm honestly not intimidated by much, but a few things do the trick. Bright colors, wooly worms, hot peppers, and patent leather top my list, but these pants are now right up there.

Sometimes you need to face your fears and confront what intimidates you head on! I pulled these pants out, tough talked them a little, flopped them around, and put them right on! They had nothing more to say to me. I had won this round. Silly pants.

Now if you will excuse me I have a pepper eating wooly worm with bright pink patent leather shoes staring me down and I really need to get my husband to deal with him.
