Cashes to Cashes

Yesterday the husband and I went to Hendersonville to the gravesite of Johnny and June Cash. We are both pretty nuts about Johnny Cash and the love story behind him and June, so this was a very cool experience.

Other than the fact that it was very wet and very cold, it was still one of the coolest things we've done/seen. And I might have cried a little. I don't want to talk about it.

After that we found the cutest little park on the river and stopped to feed the ducks and geese!

Now I am not typically a goose fan. They chase you and hiss and that is terrifying! It's one thing if a cat hisses at you because that is what they do, but a bird that hisses...That's what horror movies are made of! This goose was awesome though. I named him Turkey and he ate out of my hand and made me squeal like a 3 year old!

Things I was thinking while having the rest of these pictures taken:

  • It's cold.
  • If I lean back too far I will fall and bust my head open.
  • If I lean forward too far I might fall in.
  • There must be a ton of bird poop in this water.
  • Oh God there is a fountain and it blew on me! That's bird poop water I just inhaled!
  • It's cold.
Right about then I would have been happy to stand in a ring of fire.

Hippo Teeth

It's Fall ya'll! You know what that means? Schlubing around in sweaters, and ripped jeans, picking pumpkins, drinking ungodly amounts of coffee, and just in general being awesome.
It will never be as awesome as the hippo that ate me though.

I worked in this yesterday and as frumpy as I felt, I thought it still needed to be seen. Everything was going along nicely. Swinging, climbing, running around and screaming at the top of my lungs laughing...

Sometimes things just don't work out though and the hippo got me. You would think my husband would have been more upset and not stopped to get this photo...

The moral of this story; sometimes it's Fall and everything is great and sometimes you get eaten by a plastic hippo with big teeth and your husband laughs at you.

Night Moves

Just in case you couldn't tell, these were taken spontaneously at night with my iPhone by the light of my headlight. It was my husband's idea. He's pretty good with stuff like that. Keeps me on my toes with new and innovative ideas. He's like an innovation/idea...factory.... (I wanted to write tree right there for some reason, but it didn't make much sense.)

Do you know what I like? Elephants. They are so big and cool. They have those big ol ears and trunks that are just like, BAM! Yeah! I'm an elephant! Whatcha gonna do about it? But at the same time they are just sweet and they like to dance.

I also just realized my shirt has that cool elephant guy on it! I told you I like elephants! I don't just blow smoke, or pull legs, or some other 50's sounding phrase.
