Sunday "Friendspiration"

I am obsessed with Spring getting here, and so with that in mind, and since "Friends" has recently been added to Netflix and been playing in my home I wanted to show you a few iconic style moments from the show that I'm loving for right now!

I still love some of the 90's style that I grew up with, and nobody did it better than the ladies on Friends.

Rachel:

I want all of it. From the plaid skirt and pants, to the flirty dress, and even the overalls. Rachel's style was never boring, and is always my favorite.

Monica:

Monica could rock a crop top! I'm still loving a little crop for Spring along with minis, and maxis! And just look at that jean jacket t-shirt combo! Nothing wrong with that.

Phoebe:

Phoebe was the queen of long dresses/skirts, and unexpected pops of color. She could do bohemian or grunge and always look cute. I love the long dress and boots combo, and just look at her hair in the first pic! So pretty and easy for Spring! It will be a while before my hair is that long, but I'm still experimenting with some wavy texture.

What shows do you draw fashion inspiration from?

The Big Reveal

Dun dun dun duuuuuuuun! It's time for my big closet room reveal!!! First, before:

We had a ton of things on the walls before, so lots of patching was required! I chose a paint called Manhattan Mist for the walls. It's such a nice grey color and I love it. I love the name too!

And now, after:

Isn't it dreamy? I love being in there! The guitar is my hubby's and he let me keep it in my room since it needed a little Nashville going on, and he bought me the sweet little blue record player for Valentine's day! Total surprise! I'm sure I'll add to it and change things here and there, but for now I'm in love.

The unicorn stuff is a growing theme thanks to my bestie Sherri. She got me the blow up head last year for my Birthday, and this year a "handicorn" which is a head and four legs that you put on your hand. It's pretty hilarious! She also got me the sweet boxes and my necklace/earring/ring stand! I gots good people.

So let me know what you think! Would you use a whole room for a closet/makeup room? It's pretty sweet if I do say so myself!

Cold Snap

People. It is colder than a polar bear on the Edmund Fitzgerald. It is more frigid than Rose's right foot as it hung carelessly in the water from her door of lies as she let Jack sink off into the bitter coldness of the icy water knowing all the while that that door would have saved them both! It is icier than Vanilla Ice's freezer!

Did I give you enough of an idea of how cold it has been with my terrible puns and historical (movieorical) inaccuracy, or are you thirsty for more?

We were supposed to get a snow storm of sorts (anything above an inch of snow with higher than 5mph winds in Tennessee is certifiably a snow storm) but it ended up being ice instead. Ice is worse. Ice is like the apocalypse. Nobody moves for at least 24 hours and if they do, they are labeled insane, and funerals are planned in advance. Ok, maybe it's not that bad, but it's pretty close. Since I came back from Rochester I have been told by every single person here I "brought the snow with me". No I didn't! I left it right where I found it! It's not my fault that snow is all weird and needy. Go away snow! I didn't ask for you! I am in a long term relationship with warm, and you are not wanted!

All that being said, it is beautiful. Even Daisy had a good time. Of course this is when I was holding her. D had to carry her inside twice because her feet just literally stop working. Moose on the other hand does ok. He just runs as fast as he can back to the door before too much cold wetness gets between his toes.

I hope your week is warmer than mine. Please do not watch Titanic and look for Rose's right foot in the water. I have no idea if that's true or not. I hope it is though. I hope it froze right off on the dirty door hogger.

Rochester

Hi friendly windlies! I'm finally back! As I mentioned I spent a week in Rochester last week, and it was very cold and snowy. Apparently I brought it home with me, but more on that later. Here are a few pics from my trip!

My flight in was absolutely gorgeous! Look at those cool clouds in the first pic, would you! Doesn't it look like snow? Crazy!

There was a tiny bit of snow when I got to Rochester, but it didn't stop us from going to dinner at this really nifty little place called Avvino. That sandwich up there is the Elvis (or Elvis Presley, or something) and it is banana bread, peanut butter, bacon, and potato chips dusted with powdered sugar. It's a popular dessert there, and it was one of the weirdest things I have ever tasted, but I had to taste it.

This was a work trip, but I have some of the best coworkers on earth. Even if we don't see each other all the time, we have so much fun together.

These photos were from the trip back. The first is the airport in Rochester, and the second is Atlanta from the sky which is gorgeous! I also knew that I was close to being home by this point, so I was so excited! I always miss my hubby when I'm gone, and the furry children!

I have so many things to post now that I'm back, so you can expect to see a lot from me whether you like it or not! :) I have an outfit post, and my closet room is officially done (for now) so I want to give the full tour!

Hope your week is fantabulous!

Birthday's and Junk

This post is a little later than I had planned, but I wanted to share a few things from my Birthday and from my Atlanta trip!

I woke up on my B-day to find my counter had been covered in sprinkles and there was a cute little card waiting for me!

My husband knows me too well!

I had planned on taking the whole day off, but since we were in planning mode for our sales meeting (and I was doing a LOT of planning) that didn't happen. I did happen to get away to get my hair cut though! And throw on a little red lippy!

We went to dinner at Bonefish Grill (one of my faves) and I got the chocolate creme brûlée for dessert! Heaven!

Come Sunday it was time to head out to Atlanta. I don't have a lot of pics that will make much sense to you, but here are a few that make me smile!

Sushi, Maggiano's stuffed mushrooms, and a Girls Rule sign that we spent forever winning points at an arcade to acquire. It was the last one and we had to beg them to give it to us. We set it up on the last day. :)

It was a fun trip, and now I head out to Rochester on Monday. I don't typically travel too much, but it's been a crazy start to the year.
